Ross Whitmore

Born & Bred New Plymouth -  went to Spotswood College, then studied part-time at Polytech while working full time at IRD. I worked at IRD for 11 1/2years, 5 ½ as a Tax Inspector.  Then I started at Cottam, Cave, Evetts and Fah as a manager for Evan, Neil and Ross.  In March 1991 I joined Vanburwary – as a partner and had been there for 28yrs until March 2019 when I began Balanced Accounting Taranaki Ltd with Trent. 

On 1/4/23 I decided to step down as Director and reduce my working hours to 20 hours. I now work 7.30am to 2.00pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 8.00am to 10.00am on Wednesday and have Friday's off.

While at Vanburwray  Michelle and I began investing in various forms of property and shares.  I am currently a member of Taranaki Property Investors Association and have been a member since 2006.

Currently I am a keen golfer (on a single figure handicap) and I am currently Treasurer of New Plymouth Golf Club.  Prior to this I was a top local Rugby Referee and in my off season played cricket.

I am married to Michelle, with 4 Adult children.

When I am not working or playing golf I am probably travelling with Michelle.
